The Roadster will appear at dealers in 2018.
Company BMW has published the first teaser of the open version of the i8 sportlived – Roadster.
In the video the only element of the vehicle hidden by camouflage, is the roof. However, the material from which it is made, just can not say yet.
A concept version of BMW i8 was first shown in 2012 at the motor show in Beijing. The prototype was equipped with a removable translucent roof and windscreen with an integrated spoiler. Since then, the company has repeatedly stated the desire to see such a car on the Assembly line, but officially it will launch a series was approved by the brand head Harald Krueger only in 2016.
The Roadster will appear at dealers in 2018, however, whether the upgraded power plant model is not specified. Now the compartment i8 comes with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine capacity of 231 force, 131-horsepower electric motor, a battery set, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
“Hundred” coupe i8 takes 4.4 seconds. Maximum speed – 250 kilometers per hour. Fuel consumption in the combined cycle is 2.1 liters per hundred kilometers.
In Germany the coupe costs from 134 thousand euros.
