Deadly explosion at mine in Russia: new details

Putin pardoned the Director of a mine which killed 110 miners.

The head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin signed a decree on pardon of the Ulyanovsk mine Director Andrei funk, because of which in 2007 killed 110 miners.

As noted, in March 2015, the court of the Kemerovo region found him guilty under part 3 of article 217 of the criminal code (violation of safety rules on explosive objects, entailed on imprudence the death of two and more persons), and sentenced to six years in a penal colony.

As found out a consequence, Funk and his subordinates have mounted a special device on the instrument lamp control, which did not stop the production if the mine were exceeded the concentration of methane.

In addition, they did not write about the dangerous concentration of methane in the log and reported no violations to the Supervisory authorities.

In the end, after the explosion at the mine underground there were 203 persons, from which he managed to save only 93 miners.
