Lugansk “dawn” sensationally took the three points in the away encounter with athletic in the group stage of the Europa League.
Zarya miraculously missed in the opening match – already on the 40-th second of Muniain hit the crossbar and with the rebound of Williams coped Lunin.
Five minutes later Muniain was all alone in front of goal but failed to capitalise on a cross from Williams. Another slaughter time lost Etxeita,
not got to gate after a corner.
Gradually the visitors managed to push the game from their gates. Caravan and Grechishkin shot from distance but on 26 minutes, “dawn” has suddenly come forward – Kharatin after a corner ahead of of the defender and headed the ball just wide of the post.
Luhansk has successfully lasted until the half time whistle, but in the second half Atletico continued to attack the defense of “Dawn”. Williams, Garcia, Aduriz and others unsuccessfully tried to break Lunin.
At the end of the match Zarya openly clung to their gates, but none of the numerous overhead transmission performed by the Spaniards to a dangerous point failed.
Zarya 200-m match under the direction of Yuri Vernydub got a historic victory in the Europa League and climbed to second place in their group.
