The police said about the pursuit of criminals.
In Boryspil, Kyiv region, two men stole from the ATM to 1.5 million UAH (according to the police – 1.6 million). Law enforcement officers caught criminals in the city Irpen.
This was reported by the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office on the page in Facebook.
“Boryspil local Prosecutor’s office together with police officers detained two men who in the evening of 18 may, in Boryspil, from the safe of the ATM of one of regional departments of the Bank, stole money in the sum of 1,5 million UAH”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that the attackers fled the scene, but they “detained hot on the trail in the town of Irpin”.
These persons reported on suspicion of committing the criminal offense provided by part 5 of article 185 (theft) of UK of Ukraine.
The prosecutors also said that they will petition the court for taking suspects into custody. To them threatens from 7 till 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
At the same time, the press service of the regional police revealed details of the criminals, noting that it was stolen 1.6 million, not 1.5 million UAH.
“After receiving reports of the abduction of cash from the ATM in the city of Boryspil police have taken a number of urgent operational search activities: established the car on which moved the criminals – Toyota Corolla. Within the hour found him in the town of Irpin and began the pursuit. Attracting local patrol police, blocked the alley and detained the attackers,” – said in the message.
Clarifies that criminals were 33-year-old and 35-year-old previously convicted residents of the capital region.
During searches of the suspects found a set of tools, which was a hacked ATM.
