Ukraine has approached the recommendations of the International monetary Fund to receive the next tranche under the extended Fund EFF. This was stated by Finance Minister Alexander danyluk during a panel discussion at a think tank Atlantic Council in Washington on Friday.

Danyluk reminded that the Parliament voted and the President has signed a law on pension reform, on which the IMF insisted.

The next step is the simplification of the privatization process. The bill has already been approved by the relevant Committee and ready for submission to the session hall of the Parliament.

“We expect approval in the first reading next week,” said danyluk.

The third important step in Ukraine’s Finance Minister called the establishment of the anticorruption court. The delay in the adoption of relevant legislation danyluk explained by the expectation of expertise of the Venice Commission.

The Finance Minister categorically denied the information about the alleged desire of Kiev to suspend the cooperation with the IMF. He stressed that this cooperation demonstrates that Ukraine continues the necessary reforms.

“The IMF is a strong signal for investment attraction: direct and debt,” added danyluk.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will offer the IMF a new formula for gas prices.
