Curiosity of the day: a Guinea pig took a job in the police

Animal named Eliot officially received the title of constable.

New Zealand police has officially employed a Guinea pig. Animal named Eliot became the official mascot of law enforcement officers, in connection with which he was awarded the rank of constable.

As reported on the official Facebook page of the new Zealand police, for Eliot even specially made uniform – vest and cap. The objectives of the new “COP” is in particular photography for police PR campaigns.

For example, Guinea pig urges drivers to be more careful on the roads, driving past schools – may 1 new Zealand students just come from vacation.
