“On the morning of Saturday, April 29, happened a sad incident, when the aircraft An-26 belonging to the revolutionary armed forces and had taken off at 6.38 am from the airport Playa Baracoa, Bauta municipality, crashed into the ground in the area of Loma de La Pimienta, in the municipality of Candelaria, Artemisa province”, — stated in the Ministry statement.
The incident killed eight soldiers aboard, including crew members, according to the Agency. “Now the Commission of the Ministry of the revolutionary armed forces investigating the cause of the incident,” the statement said.
