CS:GO is transferred to the new engine

Besides changing the graphics and physics engine, this summer in CS:GO will be new Operations.

Valve is going to update the graphics engine is the popular shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this summer. The developers plan to translate the game to a whole new engine, Source 2 Engine, and add a new “Operation”.

Information published by Chinese journalists who attended a special presentation on future plans to update CS: GO. According to this information, the new Source 2 Engine will allow the game not only look prettier in terms of graphics, but also work better and smoother because of the change of the architecture of the engine and maintenance of the 32-bit Source engine, which is already significantly out of date.

From the new game engine Counter-Strike: Global Offensive externally will change insignificantly. At the same time, the game will have advanced physics, which will provide technology Rubikon (formerly physics answered-known technology Havoc). Changing the physics engine will affect the feeling of the movement of the character under player control, as well as on the behavior of firearms and grenades, which will become even more realistic.

Besides changing the graphics and physics engine, this summer in CS:GO will be new Operations. This kind of DLC for the game, which includes custom maps for the game. The new set will include modified and new maps de_thrill, cs_agency, de_shipped, de_lite, de_blackgold, de_austria and cs_insertion.

Previously, the company Valve has moved to new engine Source 2 Engine popular multiplayer project Dota 2. However, some players have negatively reacted to changes in their favorite and familiar mechanics of the game, which Dota 2 has faced some drop in popularity.
