The name of the defender of “Shakhtar” Darijo Srna associated with the delivery of a positive doping test.
Rumours about doping scandal in the “miner” distributed Lviv magazine “Sportive”, and today colleagues from the Croatian “Jutarnji List” has confirmed this information.
Srna passed a positive doping test in the spring of 2017. Since that time, Shakhtar have not played in the European Cup, it is assumed that Horvath was accused of taking banned drugs during a doping-samples to Ukrainian control.
UEFA won’t confirm or deny a positive doping test captain of Shakhtar. Horvath was absent in the last match of championship of Ukraine against Chornomorets, but the Pitmen’s coach Paulo Fonseca explained that the rotation after a tough match in the Champions League against Napoli.
Earlier, the footballers of “Shakhtar” had already been included in doping scandals. The former goalkeeper Oleksandr Rybka and Brazilian midfielder Fred had been disqualified after the date of the positive doping tests.
Darijo Srna is at Shakhtar since 2003. In all competitions the former defender of the national team of Croatia played 536 games and scored 49 goals. Srna is a nine-time champion of Ukraine and UEFA Cup winner.
