Criminal liability for reposts in Russia canceled

Right now the one who reposted a social network account that can be considered extremist, it can go in places not so remote – this is a requirement of part 1 of article 282 of the criminal code. But in the very near future things can change though for the better, although believe in it with great difficulty.

On consideration, the government filed a document that carries changes to the specified article of the criminal code of Russia. Now punishment for wrong repost means sky in hestego for a period of 5 years, but, if the amendment is accepted, it will remain in the past. The maximum level of punishment will be fined up to 20,000 rubles and compulsory works up to 100 hours or administrative arrest up to 15 days. The authors of the amendments were made by the Chairman of the party of Rodin Alexey Zhuravlev and Sergey Shargunov, the member of fraction of the Communist party.

In their opinion, the bill provides it is a fair responsibility for the actions of citizens of the Russian Federation that do not carry a danger to society. In other words, the 5-year stay on the benches they consider too serious a punishment just repost the entry on the page in a social network. In addition, the amendments to article 282 of the criminal code will reduce the burden on the criminal-Executive system in the country, and it is quite likely. It was also noted that the amendments will enhance public confidence in Russian justice, but it is very doubtful.
