Crimean Tatar activist has told how has changed the mood in Crimea

In the annexed Crimea enthusiasm from “reunification with Russia” is gradually eroding.

It turned out that the invaders had in store for Crimeans in the best case, the place of workers.

This opinion was expressed by the activist of the Crimean Tatar movement Zair Smedlyaev in an interview for “Crimea.Realities”.

The activist said that on the Peninsula there is a large number of immigrants from Russia. A big problem was the financial cost of their accommodation, cash money and other benefits. According to Soglaeva, all of these costs of the current government of the Peninsula are solved by the Crimean people.

“We have seen a massive reduction of social, cultural and educational programs, and health care costs. In some localities close hospitals, schools, kindergartens. It is important to understand that whatever financial difficulties experienced neither Crimea, neither the security forces nor the programme of replacement of the local population more loyal to no-one saves,” said he.

Another problem was the provision of housing visitors. According to Soglaeva, partly it is solved by existing in the Crimea, housing, change the queue to receive apartments and the notorious “extraction” of real estate.

“The spin is primarily in relation to enterprises, though its victims and true “krymnashisty”. There are cases when previous privatization retroactively invalidated. These things happen and with the land. Sometimes the house can be demolished, and those who did not get demolished, you begin to collect “tribute”. Often, in order to deprive a person of property, rather anonymous denunciation,” explains Smedlyaev.

However, the Crimean Tatars say: even with the massive importation of “loyal voters” sentiment in Crimea is changing, and the enthusiasm from “reunification with Russia” is gradually eroding.

“Some of those who “wanted to die in Russia”, is now talking about what they imagined such as you see on TV and in movies: traveling to foreign countries, villas, mansions, villas, luxury cars and servants. But it turned out that now for the Crimean people at best destined place of workers. Increasingly I meet people who deny that there were in the pseudo-referendum, whereas before allegedly boasted of his part in it. However, over time they begin to be ashamed of it” – summed up Smedlyaev.
