Created “eternal” battery for iPhone

The mobile device can be charged either via cell network or through Wi-Fi.

Bureau of patents and trademarks U.S. published patent application by Apple for registration of a technology to recharge wireless devices using Wi-Fi. This development will provide constant battery charge when connected to the network, said in a document published on the Agency’s website.

The application States that “the System is wireless charging and communications using the dual-band patch antennas” can be installed in many devices including desktop, smartphones, wearable devices, headphones and even smart glasses. Technology will be implemented by means of special antennas with a variable position of the pattern.

According to the document, the device can be charged both through the cellular network (from 700 MHz to 2700 MHz) and Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz to 5 GHz). However, the application shall include only General information about the development and details of the technology remain unknown. The new iPhone will be unveiled in the fall of 2017 at the annual presentation of Apple. According to rumors, the smartphone will get a 5.8-inch OLED display with a pixel density of more than 521 ppi. It can also get wireless charging.
