Seat has introduced three electric vehicle

Seat is demonstrated at the motor show in Barcelona just three models with fully electric propulsion: El-Born, Minimo and Cupra e-Race. The first two of them are still in the status of concepts.

Electric hatchback Seat El-Born brand is built on the architecture of the Volkswagen Group, designed for electric vehicles. The Spanish model is the native “brother” of the German hatchback Volkswagen ID.3, debut of the production version which is expected in September at the Frankfurt motor show. El-Born like him in characteristics, but has a more aggressive design. The prototype was equipped with a battery capacity of 62 kWh, providing a cruising range of up to 420 miles. Electric motor power exceeds 200 HP production version is promised to be released in 2020.

Baby Seat Minimo must compete with the Renault Twizy. Dimensions double electric citicar: length – 2.5 m, width – 1,24 meters. The battery is removable, it can be easily replaced by another. Capacity is sufficient for more than 100 kilometers. The appearance of the production version is expected in 2021.

The first electric car racing touring segment, Cupra e-Racer capable of accelerating from standstill to a hundred in 3.2 seconds, to 200 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The total output of its electric powerplant is 408 HP and a peak power reaches 680 HP in addition, visitors to the motor show showed a prototype of a crossover sport – Cupra Formentor, which made its debut in March in Geneva. The hybrid powerplant produces 245 HP

On pure electricity, the car can travel up to 50 kilometers (WLTP). The production version will be the first own car Seat built on the original platform, not shared with other models of the Volkswagen Group. The debut is expected in the next year.
