Dede Howard (Deddeh Howard), the model of Liberian origin from Los Angeles, hopes to raise awareness about the lack of diversity in the modeling industry his new photo project called Black Mirror.
In it she has recreated some of the world’s largest fashion campaigns taking the place of a major model stars such as Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Kate moss and Gisele Bundchen.
“For this project I decided to re-shoot some inspiring and well-known campaigns, and tried to show how they could look with a black model. …I hope to show the world that the time has come for all of us to be seen,” says Howard.
