CNN correspondent drew Griffin live in Texas 30 Aug helped get a man from a sinking car. Video of the rescue was published on the website of the TV channel.
It is noted that Griffin has covered the situation in connection with hurricane Harvey. At the beginning of the live broadcast, the reporter noticed a white pickup that drove off the road into a pit filled with water.

CNN reports that the pickup driver’s name is Jerry Sumrall. The channel adds that after saved caught his breath, he thanked the crew.
