Former U.S. Secretary of state and presidential candidate of the Democratic party, Hillary Clinton said that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange colluded with the Russian government during the election campaign of 2016. She said this to television channel ABC.
“He (Assange – ed.) is a cynical opportunist who served the dictator,” Clinton said.
According to the former Secretary of state, WikiLeaks is “a branch of Russian intelligence.” According to her, stuffing in the information space of the letters stolen from her e-mail was part of a coordinated effort headed by the Russian authorities, with the aim to prevent its victory in the elections.
Clinton also believes that one of the reasons was the personal attitude of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, who now wants to destabilize the U.S. and the transatlantic Alliance.
