The investigation is underway.
In Nikolaev the 34-year-old man died trying to escape from the police by car with three passengers.
The incident occurred early on the morning of 25 December at the Troitskaya street.
“According to preliminary data, the driver of the vehicle made a gross violation of the rules of the road – ran a red light. Seeing this, patrol police filed light and sound signals to stop the driver. Ignoring the signals of police officers, the driver picked up speed and on the street, Trinity, lost control, collided with a metal fence,” – said in the message.
After hitting the fence the driver was thrown from the car from the received traumas it has died on the spot. His 36-year-old passenger ended up in the hospital. While two passengers who were in the back seat of the car, was not injured.
