The PRC government has tightened censorship on TV.
China has restricted the activities of the media and forbidden to produce a video that “misrepresents, ridicules or humiliates a classic literary or artistic works”.
According to the state regulator for the press, radio and television, any such content could “undermine the socialist foundations” and threaten the authority of the head of state XI Jinping. The representatives of the media this decision affected negatively.
“This means that many producers of such content have to make their materials more serious. Those who will not adhere to the requirements will be immediately closed,” said one analyst in Beijing Wu Jian.
A team of Chinese bloggers parody JustXiait known for dubbing dubbed satirical commercials containing snippets of movies already voluntarily removed all the videos in the framework of “self-control, purification and improvement”.
The decision to tighten the regulation was adopted after the Communist party handed over the responsibilities for control of news resources, print and video advertising unit.
