In China found the skeleton of a crocodile more than a hundred million years.
In North-Eastern China found fossils of a crocodile of the Cretaceous period, i.e. more than a hundred million years.
In addition to the crocodile skeleton, paleontologists have found bones belonging to at least six different types of dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period.
Paleontologists, Chinese Academy of Sciences and one of the local archaeological centers began excavations in late may, a year after in may of last year in the mountains of Longshan in the city of Yanji was found fossilized remains of dinosaurs.
Fossilized crocodile with a length of about 1.5 meters was discovered on 1 June. It is well preserved from head to tail, with clear imprints of the skin. The find is quite rare for fracturing of the Cretaceous period in China.
“Crocodiles and dinosaurs lived together, which means that this place can be even more fossils,” said researcher of the Institute of vertebrate paleozoology and paleoanthropology Jin the Sochi.
Archaeologists also found a large number of teeth and various bones belonging to at least six different types of dinosaurs. Most of them well preserved. In addition, there were found the fossilized remains of a turtle.
