Norinco Group (Industrial Association of Northern China) announced the creation of the most high-speed amphibians in the world.
The vehicle is capable of water speeds up to 50 kilometers per hour, according to the Chinese calendar China Daily, citing the developers of the glider. According to the statement by the chief designer of amphibian, whose name is kept secret, the developers have managed to minimize the influence of the weight of the machine and reduce the hydraulic resistance.
This allows the vehicle to move at high speed both on land and in water. It is noted that all leading and key technologies were developed by Chinese engineers from “scratch”. The head of the developers also said that the weight of the amphibians is 5.5 tons and the maximum speed obtained in the vehicle tests on a “quiet” water, was 50 kilometers per hour.
At this time it is the fastest amphibian in the world, the likes of which practically does not exist. This will allow Chinese designers to take a leading position in the design and production of gliders. It is worth mentioning that most modern cars-amphibians capable of speeds in the range of 10-15 kilometers per hour.
