Chase in Kharkov: drunk driver staged a serious accident

In Kharkov the drunk driver tried to escape from the police. The pursuit ended in a crash.

During a patrol on the street Big District, police noticed a CHEVROLET Aveo, which went into the oncoming lane of traffic, violating traffic rules.

Communicating with the driver, the patrol noticed he had signs of intoxication. He offered to pass survey on an alcohol intoxication, but the man refused. The inspectors issued on the driver administrative materials according to article 130 of the Art (driving while intoxicated).

However, after this unfortunate driver sat behind the wheel of a car. Noticing at the same address the offender’s car, the patrol in the speaker gave the command to the driver to stop, but he continued driving. The man drove in the direction of the city centre.

Behind the intruder was followed by several patrol police cars with light and sound signals.

Later, moving along the square of the Defenders of Ukraine and carrying out the turn in the direction of the street of the Battleship Potemkin, 27-year-old driver lost control and hit a curb. Handing back, the driver collided with the official car of the patrol police, which was behind the car of the offender.

The police again suggested the driver to pass a test on the breathalyzer “Drager”. The man agreed. The device showed to 2.16 ppm in the allowed norm 0,2.

Patrol has issued protocols on articles 130 Kupap (driving while intoxicated) and Article 122-2 (not stopped on request of police).

In addition, the inspectors made on the driver the resolution under article 122 of the Cao (violation of requirements of traffic signs), and issued the Protocol under article 124 of the Cao (violation of traffic rules, resulting in damage to vehicles).
