Candidate for Chancellor of Germany, accused of corruption

It is alleged that Martin Schulz has made questionable transactions with the finances, holding the post of President of the European Parliament.

The President of the European Parliament Committee on budgetary control, Inge Grassle blamed the current candidate for Chancellor of Germany from the Social democratic party of Germany Martin Schulz in questionable promotions and payment of premiums during the presidency of George Shultz in EP.

In particular, we are talking about the press attache of Shultz and the Manager of his current campaign Marcus Engels.

“Schultz my first day of work as President of the European Parliament signed a decree that the place of work of Engels was listed in Brussels, although he lived and worked in Berlin” – said Grassle.

She also noted that Engels, in 2012, was sent on a long business trip to Berlin, where he lived at the time. But since place of work was considered Brussels, he received various allowances and travel money.

The Committee sent an extensive questionnaire to the management of the Affairs of the European Parliament, which should provide answers to 3 March. In the management do not see any violations of the law the former President of the EU Parliament.

Sam Schultz has not commented on the allegations.
