The government of Canada provided an additional three-year grant in the amount of $1.45 million to support “National educational tour about the famine” (Holodomor National Awareness Tour).
The project, founded in 2015 the canadian-Ukrainian Fund with the financial assistance of the government of Canada, including mobile classroom is specially equipped bus with interactive equipment, which travels to educational institutions in Canada with the goal of telling the truth about the tragic events of 1932-1933 In Ukraine. Over the past three years mobile classroom has visited more than 25,000 Canadians, including more than 18,000 students and teachers.
“The aim of the project was to build relationships between communities to promote intercultural understanding, tolerance, consciousness and deep respect for the democratic values that we Canadians so cherish. In addition to the canadian government, financial support of the project “National educational tour about the famine” was also provided by the governments of Ontario and Manitoba, as well as Fund Foundation Temerty Family, the Ihnatowycz Family Foundation, the Petro Jacyk Education Foundation and the Huculak Foundation.
