Scientists believe that any fruit belonging to the category of citrus fruits that can prevent “age-related” diseases.
Alzheimer’s today is one of the most common in the circle of elderly people. The reasons for the development of Alzheimer’s disease abound, but most importantly – it also affects even those who looks younger than their peers. That is, to retain their youth power of the man, but to stop the process of aging of the brain – almost impossible.
Prevention of Alzheimer’s disease with the help of citrus fruits
Japanese scientists conducted a study in which participated more than ten thousand people from 50 years. The main question presented to the participants of the experiment – it is their usual diet.
As it turned out, 23% of people daily throughout his adult life consumed citrus fruits – oranges, lemons, grapefrukt, Pamela, tangerines and more. So, all these people were not included in the risk group of Alzheimer’s disease and had a more “sound” mind and good memory and cognitive abilities.
All other study participants that if they ate citrus fruits, already had serious health problems associated with mental activity. Some of them were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and senile dementia or, more simply, dementia, multiple sclerosis, attention disorders, and so on.
Thus, the researchers concluded that regular consumption of citrus fruits prevents a number of “old” diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease.
