Scientists have warned of the danger of simultaneous intake of proteins and carbohydrates
American scientists named the reason why the simultaneous consumption of protein and simple carbohydrates (e.g. sugars) leads to negative impact on the energy balance of the organism, changes in dietary habits and the accumulation of body fat.
The combination of protein and simple carbohydrates it reduces the oxidation of fats, thus the more protein is used (along with sugar), the lower the amount of lipids is processed. The increase in the total caloric content of the diet,thus does not lead to a proportional absorption of the encased food energy.
To such conclusions the authors came from watching 13 women and 14 men. They were all healthy, their average age was 23 years. The experiment took place in two stages for 24 hours each.
The first participants for Breakfast and lunch received two portions of food containing 15% protein, at the second stage, the content of protein in the diet was doubled. All meals consisted of the same ingredients, and includes 17 grams of fat and the nutritional value of 500 calories. One of the dishes participants consumed sweetened drink. The observations were carried out in a special room that allows you to control the consumption of calories.
The experts found that about a third of calories with sweetened beverages, not consumed by the body, which leads to slowing down the absorption of fat and, consequently, a smaller total energy required for metabolism.
