Scientists advised against taking aspirin in small doses for the prevention of diseases of the heart and blood vessels.
Even small doses of aspirin increase the risk of intracranial hemorrhage, and the greatest danger this drug poses to young people with low body weight. To such conclusion scientists from University medical College Chang Gong in Taiwan.
The experts summarized the results of 13 previous studies in which were examined data 130 thousand patients. The participants were divided into groups one of which regularly took aspirin in small doses, and all others with the same frequency received a placebo.
In the end, it turned out that people who took aspirin, the risk of intracranial hemorrhage was increased to 0.63%, while those who took a placebo, this indicator remained at the level of 0.46%.
