Jacques-Henri Lartigue (1894-1986) — perhaps the most famous “Amateur” in the history of photography.
The art world discovered his work when he was sixty, and the photographer managed to arrange an exhibition of his work at the Museum of modern art in new York.
Lartigue started with, that documented the time and the habits of his company’s wealthy friends in Paris, sports and aviation. All his life he never parted with the camera. Lartigue is best known for his black-and-white photos, but he just loved the color film and experimented with AVTONOMNYY process in the tenth and twentieth years.
