Scientists from the University of Nottingham warned – the lack of Breakfast contributes to the development of diabetes and heart disease.
According to scientists from Nottingham University, skipping Breakfast can increase the risk of diabetes and heart disease.
The study showed that during the morning meal, the fat cells of the body absorb sugar, and not postpone it. This process may help regulate insulin levels, which in turn controls the sugar level in the blood and prevents the production of excess fat that causes diabetes and heart disease. This work confirms once again that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, reducing the risk of obesity and diabetes, as well as regulating metabolism and providing the body with energy.
During the study, 49 volunteers, the experts considered the ability of fat cells to absorb the sugar in response to insulin, and came to the conclusion that eating in the morning improves this ability. The obtained results are especially important for fat people because the fat in overweight people losing response to insulin than fat in lean people. It is also noted that skipping meals was associated with atherosclerosis, manifested in the accumulation of fat, cholesterol and plaques in arterial walls.
