Boston Dynamics has redesigned the model of the robot Handle, which was presented two years ago. The new development is intended for use in warehouses — the robot is able to quickly and efficiently rearrange the boxes.
New version of Handle can carry loads of up to 13.6 kilograms (30 pounds) and put it on the shelf with a height of just over one and a half meters (5.5 feet), and shoot them at a distance of 1.2 meters. Vision system of the robot helps him to find the box, human involvement is not required.
Handle is still in the prototype stage. Boston Dynamics has not announced plans to bring the robot to mass production.
