In 2016, the Boryspil airport increased the number of attracted passengers by 18.8%.
By the end of 2016 Boryspil international airport took third place in the ranking of European airports by the growth in the number of passengers. About it reports a press-service of the airport.
So, according to the rating of the ACI Europe (airports Council International) in 2016 Boryspil airport increased the number of attracted passengers by 18.8%. In the category of airports, which annually serve 5 to 10 million passengers, the Ukrainian airport ahead of only the airports of Berlin (an increase of 36.7 per cent) and Larnaca (+24,2%).
Average passenger growth in Europe in 2016 amounted to 5.1%, while in the EU it grew by 6.7%, and in countries outside the EU, the marked decline of 0.9%. At the same time, given the positive indicators directly Boryspil airport, the report ACI Europe noted that “Ukraine has demonstrated very dynamic growth”.
