The length of the prototype BMW X7 has exceeded five meters.
Company BMW has officially unveiled the prototype Concept X7 iPerformance designed to give you an idea of the biggest crossover in the line of the Bavarian brand — X7. Public premiere of new items will be held on 12 September at the Frankfurt motor show.
Overall length of new items amounted to 5020 mm, width — 2020 mm, height — 1800 mm. Thus, the Concept X7 iPerformance turned out to be 113 mm, 82 mm and 37 mm longer, wider and taller BMW X5 third generation, respectively. The wheelbase amounted to 3010 mm by 76 mm larger than the X5.
The prototype has received a number of stylistic elements from the concept car Vision Future Luxury, presented at the 2014 Beijing motor show. So, the hallmark of the crossover was the grille shape, narrower led headlights, wide air intakes in the front, aluminum edging line glass as well as 23-inch alloy wheels.
Novik received a three-row cabin that can accommodate up to six people — two in each row. The prototype has a fully digital instrument panel and wide screen of the infotainment complex, located in the center. Available second-row passengers have two displays, through which access to the multimedia system and some functions of the car.
BMW Concept X7 iPerformance equipped with a hybrid power plant, the details of which are not reported. It is possible that the units borrowed from the BMW xDrive 740e iPerformance, the list including a two-liter supercharged petrol the Quartet and the electric motor. Total return units is 260 horsepower.
Serial BMW X7 will be built on a modular architecture CLAR, which debuted on the flagship sedan 7-Series a new generation. The same model is “older” BMW’s crossover will share the basic diesel and petrol units, including the most powerful V12 engine and hybrid power plant.
Trademark BMW X7 debuts next year. Production SUV will be adjusted at the company’s facilities American Spartanburg, South Carolina.
