Ukrainian postal and telecommunications prevented 10 suicide attempts of adolescents who participated in the group of death.
“A new challenge for society and the police has been a rapid proliferation of so-called groups of death. Unfortunately, Ukraine is no exception, for example, groups in social network Vkontakte under the name “Blue whales”, “Sea whale” and the like. To date, the police opened 35 criminal proceedings and set 4 of the fact of suicide that are associated with the activities of these groups,” – said Knyazev.
He informed that the postal and telecommunications identified 926 “group suicides”, 600 of which were already blocked and prevented more than 10 suicide attempts.
“The task of the heads of major departments, to solve this problem it is necessary to establish communication with administrations of educational institutions, regional education departments, community organizations and activists,” – said Knyazev.
