The competition will feature the participation of legendary gamers.
Blizzard released a fresh patch for the strategy game Warcraft III The Frozen Throne 1.29. He added support for widescreen monitors and made balance tweaks to the game. The release of the company was timed to the Warcraft III tournament Invitational, which the company has already invited many legendary players.
The tournament will be held from 27 to 28 February and will be broadcast on Twitch on the channel Back2Warcraft. As expected, it will be Grubby [Orc, 31] from the Netherlands, Happy [Undead, 26] and HawK [Human, 28], ReMinD [Night Elf, 31] from South Korea, MaDFroG [Undead, 33] from Sweden and many others.
As for the patch, it also increased the player limit to 24, brought a new and improved list of maps, create clans, updates the map editor. The patch is not yet available on the test server. Itself the test area (PTR, Public Test Region — the platform on which the company runs the updates for their multiplayer games) were presented in August 2017 and The Frozen Throne 1.29 was the first update for it.
Also note that to start a PTR you need to have a licensed copy of Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne. The test servers support only the English language, and the version 1.29 is the last one, which is compatible with Windows XP.
While the “Blizzard” did not slip on the possible and expected innovations such as use of an existing game or a new announcement.
Meanwhile, there is no chance that new projects will appear in the near future. The company had previously released an updated version of the classic StarCraft 1998, but it is more adaptation, not novelty. Perhaps Blizzard just like Valve did not want to risk and put at stake everything. After the network battles in StarCraft and Warcraft III bring the company money, but the development of a new project can be worth millions.
