Canadian company BlackBerry is suing Nokia, accusing the Finns in violation of patent laws.
BlackBerry Ltd. requires license fees for mobile network products to Finnish companies that use several affiliated network technologies.
The lawsuit says that Nokia illegally used technology is protected by 11 patents BlackBerry. They are used in base stations Flexi Multiradio, radio network controllers and software Liquid Radio.
BlackBerry representatives indicate that they are not going to achieve a ban on the use of their technologies, as they affect important elements of the standard for mobile communications 3GPP, but would like to receive compensation.
