Norwegian biathlete Tiril Eckhoff won the final race of the women’s programme of world Cup 2016-2017.
Eckhoff due to the excellent work on the maturation together with five athletes at the equator of the race was leading the group. On the third shooting range, the Norwegian made one mistake, and the only leader of the mass start was the German Hildebrand.
At the final shooting Hildebrand last shot did not close the target, and deprived yourself of the chance to win. Eckhoff shot clean but its advantage over Gabriela Koukalova was only 1.5 seconds. On the last lap the Norwegian easily escaped from the eminent rival and sealed a fourth win in his career.
