The finalists of the prestigious contest.
Smithsonian magazine announced the finalists for the 14th annual photo contest. This year in Smithsonian Photo Contest was attended by photographers from 146 countries, sending more than 48,000 images.
Editors have selected the ten finalists in each category: “the American experience”, “World of nature”, “Travel”, “Meaningful trip”, “People”, “Altered images” and “Mobile photography”. The winner in the category “readers ‘ Choice” will be the photographer, whose snapshot will collect the greatest number of votes until March 27. It will be announced on March 28, along with other winners in each category.
