Berlusconi started the election campaign of Forza Italia

The former Prime Minister promised to cut taxes.

The former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi returns to politics. He stated this yesterday, September 17, speaking at a meeting of his party Forza Italia.

According to him, he wants to lead his group in national elections next year. The politician also promised to reduce taxes in the event of his victory.

“We expect a big win for the center-right,” said 81-year-old Berlusconi during his speech, which actually started the election campaign of Forza Italia.

As you know, Berlusconi left politics after 2011. However, in recent years, attempted to return to the political arena. In particular, last year, Berlusconi said he intends to return to politics and to recreate his party Forza Italia.

Note that Silvio Berlusconi is one of the few European politicians who fully supported the position of Russia in Ukraine. Sanctions against Russia after the annexation of Crimea, he described then as a “reckless and far from constructive spirit.”
