Trim in place of leather will be from mushrooms and jellyfish.
Automotive company Bentley Motors begins to develop for the decoration of the salons of their cars artificial skin, created on the basis of protein, mushrooms, and jellyfish.
The decision was made to cater to the demands of customers-vegans, according to Auto Express, citing the Director of the Bentley design Stefan Sraffa.
“You can’t sell the Bentley, to finish which can take up to 20 animal skins, client-vegans. We spoke with consumers in California and heard what they would like from our cars”, – said Sielaff.
“We will soon make a Bentley trim for vegans. Sensation in the world of luxury leather-based proteins, skin mushrooms and extracts from jellyfish”, – said the Manager of the company.
Sielaff also said that the company is studying the technology of electric cars and, possibly, take them on Board.
Previously the Model X crossover for vegans, in which trim materials are completely made of synthetic and not of animal origin, has prepared the Californian company Tesla.
