In the search area were investigated 2254 potentially suitable objects for the 22 kilometers of the Russian-Ukrainian border along the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
The researchers took pictures of certain areas, repeating them on different days using the map in satellite mode.
According to the findings of a study of 518 places Russian troops were firing artillery inside Ukraine. Another 305 are identified as possible firing positions in Russia or near the border in Ukraine.
In Bellingcat believe that the described and shown on the map attapadi cannot be regarded as accidental attacks or provocative.
Thus, evidence that over the summer of 2014 artillery units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation for at least 149 times fired at the territory of Ukraine.
Russia has not yet commented on the statements of the investigators.
