Sunday, February 19, in the Belarusian city of Gomel held an unauthorized March against the so-called “tunaytsha decree”
A few hundred people, dissatisfied with the decree On the prevention of social dependency, gathered on the square Uprising and went on a March in the centre of Gomel, Lenin square, where there is the Gomel oblast Executive Committee.
In the column there were people of different age and social status, families with young children, pensioners and young people. The opposition attributes, traditional for unauthorized actions, almost was not.

According to various estimates, in the rally was attended by about 2 thousand people. The police did not obstruct the March.
On Friday, February 17, representatives of the Belarusian opposition held in Minsk unauthorized rally against the “tunaytsha decree.” The campaign has gathered, by different estimates, a few thousand people.
Decree On the prevention of social dependency establishes the obligation of citizens of Belarus, permanently resident foreign citizens, persons without citizenship, who was not involved in the financing of public expenditure or participating in such financing less than 183 calendar days (six months), on payment of a fee in the amount of 20 basic units.
For non-payment or incomplete payment provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount from 2 to 4 base units or administrative arrest with obligatory attraction to performance of community service.
Base amount in Belarus is currently Br23 ($12).
Deadline for payment of the tax expires on 20 February 2017. According to the Ministry of taxes and levies, as of February 7, “Tunitskii fee” paid only every tenth of obliged to do it.
