Petro Poroshenko and Alexander Lukashenko have agreed about creation of working group for the removal of anti-dumping restrictions
Ukraine and Belarus will create in the near future a working group for removing anti-dumping restrictions in mutual trade. On Friday, October 26, agreed the presidents of the two countries.
“We have agreed with Alexander Grigoryevich (Lukashenko – ed.) to urgently request the governments to establish a working group to clear all anti-dumping restrictions, to clear any obstacles that prevent mutual trade,” – said after a meeting with the Belarusian leader the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
According to him, the trade turnover between the two countries can be doubled.
“This year, we hope that the trade turnover between Ukraine and Belarus will be 5.3 billion… I’m sure we could easily double our turnover, and the figure of 10 billion is very real. Substantially it would contribute to the resumption of export of Ukrainian metal products to the Republic of Belarus, as well as the abolition of restrictions both on trade in agricultural products and the timber trade”, – said Poroshenko
He also noted that it is the task of both parties, and predicted that this working group will be established in the near future.
