Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin gave the Ministry a special mission. The Agency should develop and deploy in the whole territory of Russia the surveillance of all cellular subscribers, were allegedly or actually in contact with the infected with the coronavirus.
In other words, under the hood will be all Russians using the mobile services, so will be able to follow each. The basis of system of the Ministry of communications will fall already on the Network location information of the smartphone and, respectively, of their respective owners. This information is owned by the operators, and they are guaranteed to provide it to the authorities.
Created all this, of course, with good intentions – to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the country. However, to feel the gaze of Big brother is not very nice because there is no guarantee that after the coronavirus is defeated, the system cannot be deactivated. This means that the authorities will be another tool of surveillance. It’s time to buy phones with removable batteries.
