The US President Donald trump and the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel agreed on Monday about the postponement of the meeting in Washington from Tuesday to Friday in connection with sharp deterioration of weather conditions in the U.S. capital.
This was announced Monday at a briefing the press Secretary of the White house Sean Spicer.
“The President talked with Chancellor of Germany. They agreed that due to current weather conditions the meeting should be postponed, ” – said the representative of the US administration.
He said that the visit of the Federal Chancellor in WA “postponed to Friday, March 17”. Thus, according to him, agreed upon work schedule remains the same.
We will remind, the meeting of Angela Merkel and Donald trump in Washington was scheduled for Tuesday, March 14. On Monday it was confirmed by both sides. However, Washington and the surrounding area at night will be a powerful snow cyclone, which, according to forecasts, can generate up to several tens of centimeters of snow precipitation.
It is projected that the American and German leaders will discuss a range of global and bilateral issues, including settlement of the situation in Ukraine in connection with aggression against the Russian Federation.
