Hyperloop has identified 10 potential routes.
One of the private companies, creating a fifth mode of transport Elon musk, Hyperloop was announced as One of ten places for the winners, who may become the first building Hyperloop.
Ten teams from five countries (Mexico, India, USA, UK and Canada) choose from 2 600 candidates, writes The Verge. The first routes can range from 320 to 1,100 km.
Hyperloop One also announced that, together with the Department of transportation Colorado is working on a feasibility study of the project, “exploring the demand for transport, economic benefits and potential strategies.”
Hyperloop earlier One has already conducted similar surveys in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Moscow, Los Angeles, the UK, Finland and Sweden. So the company has calculated that the construction of the route between Helsinki and Stockholm will cost $21 billion.
Below are some of the projects. All the winners are available on the website Hyperloop One. It should be noted that the development of the contestants were not just exercises in design. Teams from different countries supported by the relevant regulators.
So the team that developed the route Chicago — Columbus — Pittsburgh, worked with the Commission on regional planning, the Ohio Department of transportation Ohio Agency for planning Chicago, and others. Five of the ten winners was also supported by the global engineering company AECOM.
