By 2050 the number of inhabitants of the Earth will approach 10 billion
By 2050 the number of people on our planet will increase to 9,731 billion, said scientists from the French National Institute of demographic studies.
According to the published report, this time a quarter of the world population will be in Africa — 2,435 billion, that is, the population of the continent increased in two compared to the present situation
However, the most populated continent will be Asia, where, according to forecasts of scientists, will be by the time to live 5,284 billion people.
The number of inhabitants of the EU countries will reach 517 million, while the population of Europe, French scientists believe, will decrease from 740 million to 726 million.
Forecasts of the French researchers point to the growth of population in America, which by 2050 will overcome the mark of 1 billion people. On the continent will live 1,228 billion people.
Today on Earth live approximately 7,141 billion people.
Thus, according to UN projections, the world population will be 8.1 billion people by 2025, and by 2050 people on the planet will have 9.6 billion
