The new processor will have a powerful stuffing.
Not long ago, German overclocker Roman “Der8auer” Hartung found out what’s under the hood of AMD Ryzen Threadripper. It turned out that under the new CPU heat spreader is located just four crystal, two of which are not involved.

According to Roman, the use of four cores Zeppelin may be due to AMD’s plans to release a 32 core model Ryzen Threadripper. However, “red” certainly would significantly reduce the working frequency of the new processors in order to “fit in” 180-watt heating package. For example, the nominal frequency of the server chip EPYC 7601 (32 cores/64 threads) is only 2.2 GHz, and the boost-mode — 3.2 GHz.
