The suspect in the abduction of a baby in the Obolon district of Kiev detained in Vyshgorod. This was announced by the Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
“Only in Sweden, the police found a two-month child, who was kidnapped yesterday. The intruder arrested. The baby’s fine, now getting a medical exam,” – said Avakov.

He noted that yesterday after reports of abduction of the child, the alarm was raised by operational police officers in Kiev and Kiev region.
“The police rushed to check hundreds of cameras located in public places, in shopping centers, gas stations, bus stops. Special attention was paid to pharmacies and baby shops”, – said Gerashchenko.
He said one of the policemen checking the video camera in the pharmacy Vyshhorod saw a young man and woman lost the description of the kidnappers.
“The night was conducted a complex of investigative and operational activities which allowed to establish the identity and whereabouts of the kidnappers. And they were arrested about noon today. Since the kidnapping and before the arrest of the kidnappers barely 24 hours. The kidnappers were a married couple from Vyshgorod”, – he said.
According to freelance adviser to the interior Minister, a few weeks ago, the attackers lost her newborn child and took the decision to buy or steal someone else’s.
“Now to them threatens till 10 years of imprisonment under article 146 of the Criminal Code for the kidnapping of a child,” he added.
