Hackers staged Scam is not for profit.
Hackers staged a large-scale virus attack on Ukraine not for profit, and earned only about $9 thousand.
This was stated by the head of the information security Apparatus of the national security Council and defense (NSDC) of Ukraine Valentyn Petrov, reports the press service of the NSDC.
“For decoding encrypted as a result of virus computers, we had to pay about $300, but, according to the national police, it took only 28 people. That is, the profit of the intruders was about $9 million – it is not comparable with their costs,” – said Petrov.
According to him, hackers staged Scam is not for profit.
Moreover, Petrov said that in Ukraine, the state objects from this attack affected less than private companies.
Recall, the hacking stopped payment terminals in “Kiev underground” and led to a massive crash in Ukrainian trade networks, energy companies, media, banks, postal services.
