“Yes, I can confirm this,” – said the Agency interlocutor in response to the question about the time and place of the meeting.
Previously initiated negotiations on the issue of Russian gas transit through Ukraine after 2019 was made Vice-President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic. According to him, negotiations should focus on establishing the terms of the new agreement and the basic parameters of transit.
These parameters include the minimum annual volume of transit, the fare level and possible guarantees, while other parts should work with each other directly for the company.
The European Commission takes the position that Ukraine should remain an important transit country after January 1, 2020, the contract with Gazprom.
