As a result of strong rains that fell on Wednesday in low-lying parts of the black sea port of Burgas and flooded several nearby villages in South-Eastern Bulgaria, killing at least three people. According to local authorities, one person is missing.
Rain interrupted the supply of electricity to five villages. Due to natural disasters, several rivers left their banks, flooding dozens of homes and blocking roads in the municipality of Kameno, where authorities have declared a state of emergency.
People from the village of Trastikovo, located 390 km East of Sofia were evacuated after floodwaters destroyed a dam. Forecasters predict that heavy rains will continue over the environment.
